A Family Owned Gourmet Market in Brooklyn

Our

Story

Wholesome Farms Market is family owned and operated. We established our Jay Street market in 2017 with a vision of creating a neighborhood store that could offer more than basic grocery essentials.

We wanted local customers to have convenient access to fresh produce, organic grocery choices, quality meats, vegan alternatives, salads, prepared foods, and specialty products without having to leave the neighborhood.

Our more than 30 years of combined experience gave us a strong foundation for building that kind of market. We understand that grocery shopping is part of everyday life, which means customers need a store they can rely on for both regular essentials and the fresh foods they enjoy.

Over the years, we have continued to focus on serving our neighborhood while providing the variety that modern shoppers expect from a gourmet grocery store in Brooklyn.

Proud to Be Part of Our Brooklyn Neighborhood

Brooklyn is more than the location of our business. It is the community we serve every day.

Our market at 108 Jay Street welcomes people who live nearby, work in the neighborhood, and visit the surrounding area. From customers picking up breakfast or lunch to families shopping for ingredients for dinner, we serve people with different schedules, tastes, and grocery needs.

Being a neighborhood market means understanding the importance of convenience. Our customers should be able to stop in when they need fresh produce, groceries, prepared food, or other essentials without making shopping unnecessarily complicated.

That is one reason we are open from 6 AM to 12 AM, seven days a week. Our extended hours give customers more opportunities to shop around work, family commitments, meals, and busy schedules.

Freshness and Quality Matter to Us

Food is at the center of everything we do. We know our customers care about what they eat and what they bring home to their families, which is why freshness and quality are important parts of our market.

Our fresh organic produce gives shoppers convenient access to fruits and vegetables for meals, snacks, salads, and everyday cooking. Customers can also shop for meat, organic groceries, and other ingredients needed to keep their kitchens stocked.

We understand that every household shops differently. Some customers prioritize organic products. Some want fresh ingredients for cooking at home. Others are looking for convenient foods that fit into a busy day.

Our goal is to offer enough variety to make Wholesome Farms Market useful for all of those shopping needs.

Options for Different Tastes and Lifestyles

Modern grocery shopping is not the same for everyone. Different customers have different dietary preferences, routines, and priorities, and we want our selection to reflect that.

Along with traditional grocery products and meat, we offer vegan cold cuts and other choices for customers who prefer plant based foods. We also provide salads and prepared food options for people who want something fresh and convenient without preparing an entire meal themselves.

This variety is especially helpful for households where everyone may not eat the same foods. Customers can find traditional and plant based choices within the same neighborhood market.

For us, being a gourmet market is not about making food complicated. It is about providing customers with quality, variety, and more choices when they shop.

Convenience has become an increasingly important part of how people shop for food. While many of our customers enjoy visiting us in person, we know there are times when ordering online is simply easier. That is why Wholesome Farms Market gives customers options.

Customers looking for prepared food can use our Order Food option to browse available dishes and place an order. Customers who need groceries can choose Order Groceries and shop from home. These options make it easier to fit Wholesome Farms Market into your day, whether you prefer walking through our doors or ordering what you need online.

Our focus is not on telling customers how they should shop. It is on giving them convenient ways to get the food and groceries they need.

More Than 30 Years of Combined Experience

Experience matters in the grocery business. It teaches you what customers value, how important consistency is, and why a neighborhood market needs to keep adapting to the people it serves.

Our family brings more than three decades of combined experience to Wholesome Farms Market. We use that knowledge every day as we serve our customers and continue developing our selection.

At the same time, we remain focused on what has always made local grocery stores important. Customers want a convenient place where they can find fresh food, useful grocery essentials, and choices that fit their households.

Our experience helps us combine those traditional neighborhood market values with the wider selection customers expect from a modern gourmet grocery store.
